It goes through many topics that we had little or no knowledge about, such as leasing vs. buying a car, credit card & student loan debt, mortgages, life insurance, basics about stocks, bonds, & mutual funds, and many other topics. This book put us on the right track as far as where to start and how to get there. The sections on car buying and debt management were especially helpful.I recommend this book to anyone who is just starting out and feels like they dont have much background with personal financial planning or who might seem a little intimidated by other planning books.

This book starts with the basics and makes good recommendations on where big and small choices can make a difference. It seemed that most of the books out there focus on people in their 40s who already have money to invest. This book smartly suggests that its actually when youre in your 20s and 30s and dont have much to start out with that making smart financial choices can benefit you the most in the long run.
